How to play Most Likely To

Choose somebody to read the first question aloud. Give everyone a moment to decide, count down together and point at the person who best matches the prompt. The person with the most votes takes the round.
What “takes the round” means is up to you. They might tell the story behind the vote, answer a follow-up question, earn a point or take a small drink. Move straight to the next prompt after any debate has run its course.

4. Ties can share the result or trigger a second vote.

How Most Likely To works in Messy Times

ONE DEVICE

Point together

Choose Funny, Drinking, Friendship Ender, After Dark, Stag, Hen or Mixed. Messy Times shuffles the selected pack, shows one question at a time and reshuffles after the pack is exhausted. This mode works completely offline and does not ask for player names or record individual votes.
MULTIPLAYER ROOM

Vote privately

Create a private room for 2–12 players and share its six-character code. Each player enters a display name, receives the same question and votes for somebody else on their own device. Nobody can vote for themselves.
The result appears after every eligible ballot is submitted, showing each player’s total and any tie. The host moves the room through the shuffled pack, and the game ends after its final question. Multiplayer requires an internet connection.

House rules that keep the game moving

For a quick round, give each reader five seconds before the countdown. If everyone points at a different person, let the reader make the deciding vote. For ties, ask each tied player to explain why the other person fits better, then vote again.
You can also play for points across a fixed number of questions, although Messy Times does not calculate an overall score or champion. If a question lands badly, skip it without asking anybody to explain why.

Frequently asked questions

How many people do you need for Most Likely To?

You need at least two choices for a vote to be meaningful, and the game generally becomes more varied with a small group of friends. Messy Times Multiplayer enforces a minimum of two players and a maximum of 12.

Can you play Most Likely To without drinking?

Yes. The vote is the game; alcohol is not required. Ask the chosen person for the story behind the result, award them a point or simply move to the next question.

Can you vote for yourself?

Groups using the list can decide their own rule. In a Messy Times Multiplayer room, self-voting is blocked, so every ballot must name another eligible player.

Does Most Likely To have a winner?

Not in the standard Messy Times flow. Each question has a top-voted player or tied result, but there is no running score or overall winner. The multiplayer game finishes when the selected question pack is exhausted.

Are votes anonymous?

In Messy Times Multiplayer, ballots are cast privately and the screen shows who has submitted, not who they selected. Once everybody has voted, the room reveals totals by player rather than identifying each voter’s choice.

Are there adult questions?

Yes. After Dark is a deliberately selected 18+ pack about dating, secrets and adult situations. Use it only with a group that is comfortable with that kind of question.

Keep the vote friendly

Agree the tone before starting, avoid using a vote to settle a real disagreement and let anybody skip without explanation. If you add drinks, keep them small and optional. Never pressure somebody to drink or reveal something personal. Messy Times is for adults aged 18+ who are of legal drinking age in their country or region.
